The tool you will be using, the incredibusy salvaged speed loom, is a custom-made heirloom product, produced in small batches.
Handmade in the UK, these incredibusy salvaged speed looms are constructed using carefully selected components.
Every part of this project, including the seemingly insignificant rubber bands we included, was thoughtfully considered to align with our values.
The metalwork components are produced by hand in Bristol, using old bicycle spokes repurposed from a Bristol refugee bicycle project.
For the hand-turned wooden details, we used offcuts of Beech timber, and have just taken delivery of a batch made from Tulip wood.
Ts & Cs: Refundable up to 72 hours before the event. Fully refundable in the unlikely event that we have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.

Sally Sparrow –
I had a fantastic time learning how to use my speed loom with Ali. The workshop took me through the process very clearly and Ali is a wonderful tutor.
I’d really recommend the loom and the course, and I can’t wait to start using it more.
Ali Clifford –
Thank you Sally, it was a joy to teach you remotely yesterday.
Here’s to many more repairs on that sweater – hope you get some fun out of wearing something that you’ve given a second life to, and a talking point too!

I’m a crafter (basket maker, bowl turner, knitter etc) but have always found darning/repairing garments a bit of a drag. I booked onto one one of Ali’s online one to one workshops having heard about the speedweve loom and it’s revolutionised my attitude to mending.
Ali’s instructions on how to use the salvaged loom were clear and now my visible mending attempts are something to be proud of and shown off rather than hidden or obscured, and the fact that the loom itself is made from recycled materials only adds to the attraction.
All in all a great workshop experience, great teaching from Ali and a great product that I’ll use for years to come. I now cannot wait for holes to appear in my socks!

So very pleased with my salvaged speed loom and greatly appreciated the 1-2-1 tutorial with Ali. I like that you can decide to do a very visible and creative mend as well as a near invisible one using colour matching yarns. Great way of giving my favourite things a new lease of life & fun to do.
