Description
incredibusy speed loom Repair Workshop | Saturday 5th April
Repair Workshop: learn how to repair a hole in your clothes, using the incredibusy salvaged speed loom.
Inspired by 1950’s speedweve, now from salvaged materials.
Join us at the No.11 Kitchen, Ham Common, where you will acquire the skill of mending small holes in clothes, using the incredibusy salvaged speed loom. A tool designed to simplify the process of darning and repairing small snags (or moth holes) in fabric.
Extend the life of a favourite pair of socks, Lowie sweater or your denim jeans.
Great fun too if you fancy experimenting with the creative weaving process in miniature!

The tool you will be using, the incredibusy salvaged speed loom, is a custom-made heirloom product, produced in small batches.
Handmade in the UK, these incredibusy salvaged speed looms are constructed using carefully selected components.
Every part of this project, including the seemingly insignificant rubber bands we included, was thoughtfully considered to align with our values.
The metalwork components are produced by hand in Bristol, using old bicycle spokes repurposed from a Tooting refugee bicycle project.
For the hand-turned wooden details, we used offcuts of Beech timber, and have just taken delivery of a batch made from Tulip wood.
Ts & Cs: Refundable up to 72 hours before the event. Fully refundable in the unlikely event that we have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
