I thought I’d have a go at making some needle threaders.
The little silver coloured needle threaders that we all have in our sewing boxes and needle wallets are really delicate creatures and prone to breaking with over-use or heavy handling. So instead of buying another set from the haberdashery shop, I decided to have a go at making my own.
I used some very thin wire I found at home (I stripped a tie-tag from the kitchen drawer) and used this clever stuff FixIts (as seen on Dragons Den on the BBC) – which takes a minute to melt soft in boiling water and you can mould it into shape – so far so good!

I’ve also used this clever stuff to repair a pair of glasses this week too.
