GUEST Post: LONDON WILD WOMEN SISTERHOOD
Introducing Liuda, from LONDON WILD WOMEN SISTERHOOD ? ?Sisterhood gatherings in nature ? who has written this guest post for incredibusy.com
When was the last time you received non sexual respectful touch?
Touch is so powerful that according to scientists it can slow your heart rate, decrease blood pressure and strengthen the immune system. It is crucial for women’s well being. We dedicate a good amount of time to healing through natural touch in our temple: www.liudayogini.com/workshops-and-events
When we receive this touch in a safe environment it not only boosts our health but also restores trust in ourselves and each other, strengthens the community around us and supports our environment. It can greatly boost our self confidence and give us the power to be able to deal with the daily challenges we face.
Women are Mother Nature’s manifestation of wisdom.
We are emotional by nature. When our emotions aren’t divided by “negative” and “positive” but instead embraced by silent attention and by the presence of each sister we can start to heal. We accept our “imperfections” and see how they can serve a greater purpose. By fully accepting our denied emotions we accept the other, find peace within and this peace can spread out to the external world. We see Divinity is living through us and everything is in Her Divine Order.
Nature is our home. She is our Mother. She heals us and provides for us.
Fire has been known as a transformative power from ancient times. We come to our Grandfather Fire with respect when seeking to let go of old patterns, beliefs and wounds in our temple. We sing to Him and give our gratitude for transformation.
We honour our Mother Earth through having direct connection to Her: putting our hands in the benevolent earth and covering our face with glorious mud. Even scientists have found antidepressants in soil.
Aborigines and other ancient cultures – Native American, Mexican and Aztec held the Earth to be sacred and knew of the immense benefits to be found in nature. In fact, we derive most of our common medicines from Mother Nature Herself.
When we come back to our roots, to our wild heart then Nature can become our medicine. She gives us guidance and we feel we belong and are at home. I would like to welcome you to our temple every fortnight on Sundays in London to participate in the above practices. Welcome back dear sisters, welcome back home to the LONDON WILD WOMEN SISTERHOOD!
About Liuda:
Throughout my life I was connected to my feminine side. I have always felt a pull towards sisterhood community.
As a nature lover I often talked to fire, trees and rivers. They were and still are part of my family and are healing medicine from the stresses of daily city life.
I went through a big transformative process uncovering layers and layers of the unconscious through Primal Therapy in 2012.
I believe that meditation and silence is a way to come back to self and my two week silent retreat with my teacher Prem Baba in the Himalayas is my annual practice. Connecting to the Feminine is my daily sadhana (spiritual practice).
I started to facilitate women’s temples in London in November 2016 firstly indoors and then outdoors in Summer. Women’s gatherings are a mixture of connecting to nature, living our vulnerability and our authenticity. Practices normally consist of exercises from Chameli Ardagh’s book “Create your own temple”. There is a sharing circle, fire ceremony and connecting to the elements.”
