Ali Clifford writes: I am absolutely delighted to have been invited to be part of the 200 Creators programme at the National Gallery for 2024-2025.
First call was to see the new Van Gogh exhibition : ’Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers’.
Yes I did dress the part, it must now officially autumn in London, Ali’s got her mustard beret on. 🌻🍂
Go see, get up close and look at the depth of those oils, featuring ‘Starry Night over the Rhône’ (1888, Musée d’Orsay) and ‘The Yellow House’ (1888, Van Gogh Museum), as well as our ‘Sunflowers’ (1888) and ‘Van Gogh’s Chair’ (1889).
🌻 Van Gogh at National Gallery
🌻 Opens 14 September – 19 January 2025
🌻 Save and share this post to your ‘must see this autumn’ folder.
🌻 IN OUR TIME: If you want to do some homework before you go, have a listen to Melvyn Bragg (click) chatting to Christopher Riopelle, Martin Bailey and Frances Fowle.
I’m very fortunate to have the luxury to have see the exhibition as a preview, so the hordes descend at the weekend 🙂 it was actually quite busy, we went early and people were very accommodating with making space for me including the Observer Photographer it seems!
