Resources – free downloads for School Strike resources and templates
All the School Strike resources and templates you need – how to helpfully support your kids? My own son has asked me again this month if he can take time out to join the global school strike, and march with his school friends in London, on Friday 20th September.

His school previously refused to allow him to have authorised leave, so we took time to prepare a letter which we sent into school this week. (please see link here for template)
We want to support our school children who care so passionately about their futures.
There are lots of amazing resources available if you are struggling to communicate with your Head Teacher the reason for your child’s absence.
We have created a template letter for you to send into school. (just cut and paste from here into an email).
And Oli Frost has created some great posters available for download here

Greta Thunberg and George Monbiot make a short film on the climate crisis
Gripping Films have worked with Environmental activists Greta Thunberg and George Monbiot to produce a short, very watchable film highlighting the need to protect, restore and use nature to tackle the climate crisis.
Living ecosystems like forests, mangroves, swamps and seabeds can pull enormous quantities of carbon from the air and store them safely, but natural climate solutions currently receive only 2% of the funding spent on cutting emissions.
The film’s director, Tom Mustill of Gripping Films, said: ‘We tried to make the film have the tiniest environmental impact possible. We took trains to Sweden to interview Greta, charged our hybrid car at George’s house, used green energy to power the edit and recycled archive footage rather than shooting new.’

Accessories

We really love these statement bags from Ellie Good: (great if you’ve not had time to make a banner) made from 60% pre-consumer polyester and 40% post-consumer cotton.
Ellie says: “Greta Thunberg is on a mission to get people in power to act on climate change. She is a legend. And I salute her! For every one of these bags sold I will donate ALL PROFITS to environmental charities.”
